It
is often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
For me, I see beauty wherever I gowhether it is in
a babys smile, a dewdrop on a fall leaf, a superbly
designed building, a magnificent sculpture, a gorgeous flower.
Whatever it is, I seek to put the beauty around me on film
for all to enjoy. This interest prompted creation of Susan
Frost Photography, a subsidiary of my consulting firm, SEF
Consulting Inc."
An award winning photographer, Susan's work is frequently
on display at several Portland art galleries. Examples of
her travel images were recently on display in the lobby
of Arscentia. Other images by Susan were shown at the Lawrence
Gallery in Portland, Oregons Pearl District. The exhibit
was called, Flowing Water: Beautiful and Serene Works of
Japanese Inspiration and featured photos of a traditional
Japanese bride in a red silk kimono. Moments in Antiquity,
a collection of photos from Italy, was shown in Portland
at the AIA Gallery, Willamette Athletic Club, Torrefazione
Italia and Artreach Gallery. Another show, Gods Handiwork,
which included photos of Northwest landscapes, was shown
at Artreach Gallery in January 2000. In August 2001, she
had a second showing of new photos from Italy and the Northwest
at Artreach Gallery.
As a commercial photographer, she takes pride in being able
to provide Photos for all Occasions--whether it is the interior
or exterior of a building, a beautiful garden or landscape,
a wedding, a corporate event, family or individual portrait.
Her studio, which is fully equipped with the latest lighting
and digital equipment, is located near Washington Square
in Portland, Oregon.
She is also an author of the book (Blueprint
for Marketing) and photojournalist who travels frequently
to Europe and to the major metropolitan cities of the United
States. She often combines a writing assignment with a photography
assignment, such as the article about the arts in Detroit
for the World Traveler
magazine, Northwest Airlines in-flight magazine.
